Little Sis...

In a week Avery will be 4 months old.  Did I really miss her 3 month post? YES! Awful Mom? YES! Tired Mom? YES! Happy Mom? YEEES!!

I love every second of being the Mom of this sweet little girl.  Her chubby thighs, sweet smile and adorable features make all the LONG nights doable.

Avery's new discoveries:  hands, rolling from side to side, exer-saucer, swimming pools, grabbing onto everything, Pepa (she is seriously obsessed with my Dad), the camera....and lots more!

Poor Avery puts up with a lot.  Brother thinks she NEEDS something on her head 24/7...if I don't put a bow on fast enough, he finds a replacement :)

Avery LOVES her exer-saucer...although I am still shocked she is big enough to start playing with things!

From Day 1 Avery refused to use a binki....urgh...but her hands are her favorite things.  She is constantly sucking but unfortunately her hands don't console her throughout the night.

Gosh I love her smile! Avery is a very content baby and if she decides she likes you, she will share this gorgeous face, which I just can't get enough of!

Avery LOVES her Daddy.  She loves his voice, face and the way he knows just the right way to hold her.

Sweet baby sleeping.  Avery is a great sleeper...BUT, not a constant sleeper.  She still wakes up every two hours to eat ALL NIGHT LONG, but as soon as she is fed she lays down and puts herself back to sleep.  I am super tired and really hope that this changes soon...but how can you say "no" to that little face ;)

We love you Avery...although I slacked with your 3 month post, you are still SUPER special to us, and I've got the pictures to prove it :)

"I'm a BIG kid now!"

Kai is officially potty trained and we are LOVING it!  It may have been a long week stuck inside, but he did SO good and is so proud of himself. I posted a picture for each day and just giggle at every one. My baby is taking one step out of "BABY-HOOD" and I can't say I am sad about this part :)

Day 1 (Left): Kai pretty much lived on the potty and loved his Elmo time.  Day 2 (Right): Another naked day, but able to go outside.  We only had one accident on day 2 and thankfully it was outside!!

Day 3 (Left):  Hello adorable big boy underwear...unfortunately we had more accidents today...we were pretty sure it was the underwear.  Day 4 (Right): Kai didn't like the underwear we had for him so we bought some cute boxer briefs and he LOVES them!!  No more accidents, woo hoo!!

It has now been 5 days and Kai is officially potty trained.  We were out and about all day today and he would tell me when he needed to go and was so proud to tell any one and EVERYONE that he went potty!  To celebrate being a big boy we took Kai to Chuck E. Cheese tonight and he had A BLAST!

Good job big boy, we are SO PROUD of you!!

Little "Mema"

My Mom is super Mom.  My whole life I have watched her run marathons and I couldn't help but add that to my "dream list" as well...unfortunately it has not happened yet for me, but she will always be my inspiration.
These days my Mom has been training for her first triathlon and I am SUPER impressed as I see her take control of that water, dominate the bike and accomplish what she loves to do, run.  I have quickly realized that I am not the only one who wants to be like my Mom....it must run in the family :)

Thank you Mema, for always giving us someone to look up to!!
