An anniversary...and a backyard.

This month my great Aunt and Uncle celebrated their 50th anniversary.
50 YEARS!
That is crazy exciting, and such a long time so we were so glad to get to go and celebrate with them.

My kids on the other hand were WAY more excited about he beautiful backyard that they got to play in.  They seriously ran and played and jumped until there was no area they hadn't touched.  We keep saying, "One day..." and I think a yard is first on our list :)

Baby Quinn is 2 months old and is now 7lbs...such a sweet baby who fought hard to be here, and we are so glad she did.

We joked that these two were on a date....until we remembered they were 3rd cousins and that would just not do :)

Avery loved dancing and dancing with her Daddy....she is so lucky to have him!

So altogether it was a beautiful day, with a beautiful couple....oh and a backyard :)

Youth Conference

This weekend I had the AMAZING opportunity to go to youth conference with our AMAZING young women and young men.
Growing up I loved these kind of activities, so selfishly I was really excited to experience it again and watch the joy in everyones eyes.

This year we were able to go to Manti and enjoy baptisms in the Temple and go to the pageant, with lots of fun activities in between. I loved every second...even camping with a big belly couldn't bring me down. I loved it, and I love them.

Going to the Temple was the highlight of my trip.  I love watching the excitement my beehives feel each time they enter the Temple.  I love watching my sweet girls experience this for the first time. I love gaining a greater testimony of the blessings that take place inside.  The Temple has always changed my life and I hope it continues to change theirs.

The day after we came home from this wonderful experience we were given the news that there were some changes being made to our ward and stake because of massive growth and that I would no longer be in the ward, and would be in a different Stake then everyone else.
Even writing it makes the tears flow again.
My thoughts went from my friends who made this transition to utah so much easier, my kids and the friends they have made in their classes and then the hardest thought of all...my yw.
Being a YW leader has been the most challenging calling I have ever served in..and I think that is because I love them so much. I want the best for them and I want them to not make the mistakes we all make (which i know is totally irrational :) ).
Being in the young women's is also the best calling I have ever had.
I feel blessed to have been given the opportunity to get to know them, to love them, to talk to them, to laugh with them, to learn with them, to teach them and most of all to serve them.

So change is hard..and is way easier said then done.
But I am so thankful that I was given this amazing weekend to soak in my last little moments with them and leave knowing that I gave them my all and that they know just how special they are to me and to our Heavenly Father.

Firsts and Lasts

I was so blessed to be able teach Kai preschool from home this year with my friend and her son, Jace.
Although it is HARDER to teach your own child, it is also so rewarding to watch the light come on and see their excitement as they learn something new.

Seeing their firsts and lasts of preschool was so much fun...although he is still my "little" boy..he is now my "bigger" little boy :)

Enjoying the Sun

What a great day.
There is something about family time that makes EVERYTHING that much more fun.
Today we not only had our little family together, but we were able to spend the whole day with my little brother.
We kinda love him...but the kids are OBSESSED...all day Avery kept saying, "Jordan hold you!" :)

Today we did pizza time, trampoline, basketball, "being a flag" as Kai put it, Provo Rec center (which is seriously SO SO NICE and tons of fun) and naps in the car.
It was pretty much an AMAZING day and now I would LOVE a nap...or two!

I love the water leakage out of Avery's bum hahaha!

Probably the cutest picture I have ever taken!!

I hope you all enjoyed your day in the sun!!

Pregnancy..a TMI post

Here I am in my pregnant glory.
Has six months already gone by?  Has it really only been six months?
Both questions seem to run through my head quite regularly :)

This pregnancy has been harder on my body than the others.
I would say I was just as sick...but this time it hasn't fully left and it came with other "issues".
I call those my TMI issues :)
My chest growth has been OUTRAGEOUS...which comes with uncontrollable itching.
My heartburn is burning to a new extreme.
I am tired...always tired. I never felt this with the others and thought it was a myth...NOPE, it definitely is not!
My weight gain is...well, gaining. (Hence the lack of pictures...you can thank my sis for this one)
And my tail bone THROBS!

But amidst all of the yucky parts, comes TONS of amazing moments.
My kids talk about their brother constantly. Draw him pictures, sing to him, pray for him etc.
I get to go through all the newborn boy clothes that I haven't seen in YEARS.
His kicks and jabs and flips help me to remember that this is all very real..which I love.
The Dr visits that I love so much (for real...it's my favorite time of the month) I love hearing him and talking all about our 2nd little boy.
The closeness of husband/father and wife/mother of an unborn child is beautiful.
The name game.  Although stressful, I LOVE IT!
But most of all I am just thankful for the little bundle that we were able to create and trying hard to be worthy of him.

So there you have it...an update...and a picture.
I can check that off my list :)
