Sometimes you just need to be you.
This is a lesson that is really hard for me to learn.
I am constantly striving to be the best wife, mother, sister, daughter, housekeeper, cook, budgeter..etc.
This is not only exhausting, but with so much pressure on myself I constantly feel like I'm failing and rarely take time to just be "me" because maybe I forget who she is sometimes.
Anyways, I have amazing friends at my apartments and week after week of saying we needed a girls night, WITH no kids, no laundry and no stress we FINALLY did it.
This girls night was the best of both worlds.
Not only were we laughing until we cried, playing games and enjoying a break, but we learned the best bread recipe there is that will save our family money. Fun and budget friendly...check and check!
Taking "you" time doesn't mean you have to leave your family concerns behind.
Taking this "me time" made me more successful in every thing I do.
I learned that I like "me" and that "I" am important.
Coming home the lights were not brighter...I still feel like I am striving for this never ending happiness.
But remembering who I was, and what I can bring to my family made EVERYTHING worth it.
