Color Me Rad

Running has really been a release for me since I moved to Utah.
I love the control I have.  I love the feeling afterwards.
And I love moments like this where I can just run for fun.

Thank you "Color Me Rad" you did not disappoint.
And thank you to my friend Laura for the free ticket..that made things so much more fun :)

Only Child

Do you ever wish you had a "do over" button? or a "Forget everything that I just did" button?
A movie was exactly what me and my little boy needed to forget his "naughty" behavior lately.

And thankfully it did the trick.
Logan, Kai and I had such a fun time together.
We laughed through the movie, ate popcorn and quickly realized how much more relaxing a night out was without a baby. (Even though we missed Avery).

Thanks Kai...Let's start over.
Love you times Eternity!

I am ME

Sometimes you just need to be you.

This is a lesson that is really hard for me to learn.
I am constantly striving to be the best wife, mother, sister, daughter, housekeeper, cook, budgeter..etc.
This is not only exhausting, but with so much pressure on myself I constantly feel like I'm failing and rarely take time to just be "me"  because maybe I forget who she is sometimes.

Anyways, I have amazing friends at my apartments and week after week of saying we needed a girls night, WITH no kids, no laundry and no stress we FINALLY did it.

This girls night was the best of both worlds.
Not only were we laughing until we cried, playing games and enjoying a break, but we learned the best bread recipe there is that will save our family money. Fun and budget friendly...check and check!

Taking "you" time doesn't mean you have to leave your family concerns behind.
Taking this "me time" made me more successful in every thing I do.
I learned that I like "me" and that "I" am important.

Coming home the lights were not brighter...I still feel like I am striving for this never ending happiness.
But remembering who I was, and what I can bring to my family made EVERYTHING worth it.

Apartment Life.

We have LOVED our apartment here in Utah.
It's safe, clean and pretty good management.

Since moving here we have heard the following question 1 million times,
"So are you living in the apartments because you're buying a home or building one?"
To which I respond, "NEITHER."
I guess apartment living is an odd occurrence here.

We really don't have anything to complain about. . . EXCEPT...

What do you do when you have grumpy neighbors who hate/complain about EVERY footstep you take?

This is what we came up with :) ...the kids had a BLAST and I thoroughly enjoyed NOT having to say,
"Quiet steps," "No running" or  "No BALLS IN THE HOUSE!"

 Avery's new favorite thing...JUMPING!

We love you kiddos! Some day we can answer yes to the million dollar question...but until then, lets have a lot of fun making life interesting!!!

Water Babies

Thank heavens for splash parks.
We used to go to the Rexburg one all the time, so I was so glad to see one in Herriman.
Free fun is the best kind.

I wasn't sure if the kids would like it because the water was so so cold.
But I was wrong.
Avery and Kai were obsessed.
And when they are obsessed we are obsessed.

Thank you Aunt Heath for the CUTEST bathing suit for Avery! She worked it :)

 Freezing!

I love these kids...forever and ever!
