Chase..I mean Uncle...I mean Elder

0ur youngest brother Chase isn't a baby anymore....HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?
However it happened...it did...and it looks like it happened to all of us :)

Chase is coming home today from his mission and we were lucky enough to get to attend his final testimony mtg in Utah with all the missionaries who are going home.

It was so good to see him, hug him, and let Kai use him as a jungle gym again....
We sure missed our Uncle Chase!!

A little of this, a little of that.

As usual, Easter (or any holiday) in Herriman comes with lots of fun activities.
So, as usual we did a little of this, and a little of that and had such a good time.

I ran. He ran. WE RAN!

Kai is hyper, and naughty and full of it..
but I don't think I tell you (the world/journal) just how much he has changed my life.

I have been waiting for the day when I could go running with my kids.
(not in the stroller...cause that's no fun...but where they actually run with me)
I will never forget running with my Mom. I felt inspired, tired and mostly LOVED!

This morning while everyone else was sleeping I asked Kai if he wanted to go running with my running group,
he responded, "Sure Mom that would be GREAT!"

While we waited for everyone to show up he kept saying,
"Ok Mom I'm ready.  Lets go RUNNING!"

This boy ran 2 . 4 miles with me (with only a few breaks) and laughed and talked the whole way.
He kept making comments like,
"Wow mom I am a great runner!"
"I love every day of this Mom."
"Is there gonna be a medal at the end?"
"My energy feels great Mom!"

So although this boy makes me exhausted even without running,
he also makes me smile, laugh and feel my heart bursting with love.
I LOVE my little boy more than words..
and I can't wait to see him win that medal someday :)

He knows me well...really well.

This year our anniversary was AMAZING!
and we owe ALL of that to my awesome brother and sister in law for offering to babysit and watching the kids for longer than we have ever been out before...did I say it was AMAZING?? cause it was!

My kids are very different.
All day long Avery cuddled and cried and worried about us leaving.
All day long Kai cheered and ran and asked why we hadn't left yet :)

Logan took me to an amazing dinner...like a once a year kind of dinner
and then we walked over to my best surprise EVER...
Logan found out that Noelle Pikus-Pace (from the Olympics and BEST example EVER!)
was going to be down town and he knew my obsession was out of this world...so off we went!
I was STOKED to not only see her and hug her and hold her HEAVY medal, but to tell her how much her example of faith, love and family meant to me. She's awesome!

Then we got to walk, eat dessert, talk, and act spontaneous without ONE scream, cry or tantrum!
It was exactly what we needed...
actually I can't help but think I want to do it again, like today :)
