Our little soccer STAR

Since this is a blog about my kids...and how good and crazy our life can be I decided to take a second to brag about my little boy.
Now I know he is 4...and there are no goalies...but dang is it fun to watch this boy play.

Kai has always been a natural with sports.
He struggles with other day to day tasks, but sports are his thing!

As a Mom you constantly watch your kids struggle...to each, the struggle is different,
but as a Mom the pain you feel for them is the same...and it sucks!
So to find what brings your child joy, and to watch them excel at it is the most fun thing EVER.

After a tearful first game (because he didn't score every goal he attempted) we talked to Kai about the fun of playing soccer. And that once you just have fun, everything else (even the misses) are fun too.
Well he listened!
Last game he came home with 4 goals and cheered for the other team the whole way through and this game he wanted 5, but came home with 8 goals!!  He was a little disappointed though because he really wanted 5 he said hahaha.

We sure do love our little boy and are so proud of all the excitement he brings to all of his physical activities.
No matter what the scoreboard says, he is definitely our #1!!!

The first of many Campouts

This weekend was Logan and Kai's first father/son Campout.
Logan was excited because this was his first experience with a father/son campout and Kai was excited because #1 He couldn't wait to go camping #2 He was STOKED to have one on one time with his Dad.

Logan was so sweet and rented a car so Avery and I would have a car for our girl time.
Again, Kai was stoked...but poor Avery was heartbroken. I heard "I want Kai man" many times :)

 Gosh I love them.

"Daddy, take a picture of me sleeping in a tent!" I still can't help but smile when I think of what a special time that was for them.

I think he could get used to this whole camping lifestyle.

Look closely at those filthy hands...and just guess what happened the second they walked in the door :)

Of course little miss and I had our one little girl time...I wasn't sure if she was having fun or not until I kept hearing her say, "This is so special. Mom and Avery. So special!!" Love that girl~

Overall it was a great weekend of getting to know our little sweets one on one..and remembering just how "special" they are to us.

A Family Fourth

Today was just awesome.  I love any excuse to get together with family, and a Holiday is just my kind of excuse!  We were able to get together with my brother and whole Osborn family and eat and play,  eat and play...and repeat and repeat again.

As we got home that night we promised Kai we would go see fireworks (really how can you turn down a HUGE firework show put on by all of the people in Herriman who spend money for us :) ).
So the darkness came, and out we went...and it did not disappoint. Last year, Kai cried through all of them because he was afraid...but this year all he needed was his little fingers in his ears and he was in heaven.
We also took the time to talk to Kai about what we were celebrating...and no matter how many times I say it or hear it I am overwhelmed by how thankful I am to live in such an AMAZING country.

What a GREAT day!!

Oh boy...I swear this was only 2 seconds after we walked in the door...what in the world!!!

Sports at the Osborn's is always a must and so much fun...sometimes the adults have way more fun than the kids :)

She fell in love with this hammock...so much so, that I really think we need to invest in one and throw out her bed :)  It would save us a lot of room, haha.

Sweet girl asked to take her nap in the hammock...I said she could and shockingly she really fell asleep, so sweet!!

This kid could jump all day long...and I will let him!

 Cheeser!

 We are totally normal :)

 Love these two so much!
