Sick of Halloween?

I know what you're thinking...how many Halloween functions are you going to go to??

Answer: As many as our little town offers....and so far that's a lot :)

I really love this area.

It is SO family oriented and budget friendly..free!

This fun party was put on by our awesome friend ShaNae at the Herriman Rec center

and it was a total blast.

Games, food, painting, music, costumes and on and on.

The kids pretty much think we are awesome...

little do they know, we think we are awesome too..haha

You know it was a good night when Kai puts himself to bed afterwards...we rarely take off that darn costume though :)  Thanks costco!

I am LOVE love loving this season with my big kids who LOVE to have fun!

Newlyweds

We had dinner with the Romney's...

Kim and Kreg Romney to be exact :)

We were lucky enough to be there for their wedding this Summer and 

even luckier to be invited to eat and talk and laugh with them to see their new place.

There is something about being around newlyweds that makes you feel...loving.

You are more giggly, more cuddly and more openly lovey :)

I know from experience that, that love just grows...but your distractions also grow (aka kids) 

so it was SO nice to watch, and remember and take a few tips from the newly's ;)

We kind of love them.

Like a lot.

And my kids...well, my kids showed us just how quickly they can destroy a beautiful apartment!

Fall Festival x 2

This weekend Riverton and Herriman had their Fall Festivals.

It worked great for us because they were on the same day, but different times.

AND

They were both free! woohoo!

So I did the first while Logan was at work and then when we picked him up we did the 2nd together.

I don't think we have had this much fun in a long time!

Not only did the kids get to wear their costumes (first year I let them choose, which was so hard for me!) but we got to dance, play, and eat and not spend any extra cash.

 These were their picks. No not matching, no theme...I had to take a deep breath ;) But I am so glad I did because Kai has never been so excited about something. And Ave's is just a little obsessed with Minnie.

 This boy LOVED to jump off the top.  I get asked the question all the time, "Is he more fearful after his fall?" No...not even a little bit!!

 Kai stared down every scary man in the place...he feels pretty strong as mr. Spidey

The day ended with a huge kids dance party.  So fun to watch and we have so many AWESOME videos.

We all left with big smiles on our faces and so happy we were given the opportunity to have such a great time as a family!

Stay at Home

I have had many dreams in life.

Some embarrassing like: become a soccer star, or secret singer or win some sort of award.

And some not so embarrassing like:

Graduate from College.

Teach Kindergarten.

Become a Wife.

Be a Mom.

And "stay at home" to raise my children.

After marrying my sweetheart and graduating from college, I was totally blessed with the birth of my little Kai. A mini Logan.  And the best baby ever.

About 5 months later I was offered a job.  

A job that I didn't even apply for.

And it was teaching Kindergarten.

Thanks to the help of amazing friends and a totally supportive husband I took the job and followed my dream.

It wasn't long after that I realized my dreams were pulling me in different directions.

I was teaching, and I loved it. I felt like it was what I was made to do.

But I was missing the baby that I had waited for and dreamed about.

And my heart ached as I heard of the funny things he did day after day.

After the year was up, it was time for me to chase my other dreams.

The change wasn't always easy....I guess dreams never are.

But as I sit here today and look at the millions of pictures that I just can't stop taking,

I smile at all the things I am accomplishing.

I smile as I see the munchkins learn new things.

I smile that my friend and I are able to teach our kids preschool.

I smile that we can watch the rain, and play in puddles.

I smile that I can play pretend.

I smile at the Hot man who makes it all possible.

I smile...A LOT!

This dream isn't easy.

But this dream is totally worth it.
