One Month

Wow, has it really been a month?  Our baby girl is getting SO big.  She now smiles and coos more often and I LOVE IT!  She loves to eat, and at night I would love longer stretches but I can't complain because she eats and goes right back to sleep.  During the day she takes it all in.  She's a very quiet baby, but you will DEFINITELY know if she's hungry!

Last time I told you how she was REALLY gassy and threw up quite often...but thanks to my AMAZINGLY GENIUS Mom she is completely better and the gas is almost 100% gone.  Before we would need to help her get her gas out and now she does the little she has left with ease, all on her own.  How you ask?  Well I just pump for about one minute (getting the excess foremilk out..which is the gassy milk) and then I feed her from me.  It was almost an immediate change and her little tummy is finally not so hard from the gas. Thanks Mom for being SO SO SO Smart and for making this happy baby even HAPPIER!  We love you!!

My BIG 2 year old!

 I can't believe it has been two years since our adorable little boy has joined our family....he has forever changed our lives in SO many amazing ways and I was so excited to spoil the heck out of my SWEET boy!!

The day started off with Kai opening all his amazing gifts!  Man was he excited...the first thing he said when he woke up was "oh WOW, Oh wow!"

For lunch we went to Kai's favorite place....McDonalds of course :)

 Then we played outside...thank goodness we finally had some sunshine!!

 Kai's Great Grandparents got him this amazing car...isn't it sweet!

 Felicity and Avery had some wonderful cuddle time during Kai's nap.

 For dinner we had pizza (another Kai favorite) with lots of ranch of course!

 Then we were off to FatCats for a night of gaming!

 Kai is OBSESSED with his Daddy! Kai always wants him right by his side.

 Our amazing birthday boy won the JACKPOT and we left with 630 tickets!!! Way to go Birthday boy!

Date Night!

My handsome Logan and I (+ sleeping Avery) were able to go on a date this weekend and it was so much fun!  There is something about looking at your sweet husband and getting to know him all over again without kids screaming, pooping or crying :)

 Sushi in Idaho?? I know I was a sceptic as well...but Idaho falls has a delicious place called Bushido.  IT WAS SOOO YUMMY and felt so great to enjoy eating without the fear of what was cooked or not...being pregnant for over a year can really get to you :)

 Oh my goodness...so in love with this man!

 Pigs?  Yep we are, very happy pigs :)

Date nights definitely need to happen more often because we had such a good time and our tummies were VERY happy as well!

Update

Little Avery girl is 3 weeks tomorrow and is turning into quite the chunk.  At her two week appointment she was 8.1lbs and 21.5 inches.  She is SUCH a happy baby, a great sleeper/eater and just started cooing and smiling which is my favorite.  She is a gassy baby and poor thing throws up quite often...thankfully that hasn't changed her awesome personality..  I'm guessing she just wants to wear more cute outfits :) We love her TONS!!

I LOVE MY MOBY WRAP! A friend of mine passed this down and it works perfect for my sweet girl who loves to cuddle.

                                               

Mr. Kai is still obsessed with coloring, running, jumping, sports etc.  He is quite the talker these days and I am loving it. He is so good with his sister!  He begs to hold her and loves to throw away her diapers, get me her car seat and kiss her sweet face.  He turns 2 next week and unfortunately his attitude can get out of control and sometimes poor sister is caught in the crossfire... but we are hoping this will go away with age (fingers crossed).

 I love these sweet kids...every day is another challenge, mixed with LOTS OF BLESSINGS!

This Sunday Kai and I had a "date" day at church, while our AWESOME Daddy stayed home with Lil' Sister.  I can't wait till we can all go together, but thankfully we can still enjoy Sunday moments like this!

WE LOVE MEMA

 My Mom aka Mema aka SAINT has been with us these last couple weeks and we have felt so lucky to have her here. My Mom is the kind of friend everyone wants to have and thankfully she was just what I needed to help with this transition...sometimes just a smile makes everything feel easier.

My Mom's Birthday was May 5th and we were lucky enough to share it with her!

 My Mom (and husband) spoiled me on my birthday (May 10th)..the sheet cake was delicious!!

 Mema is the only person that can wear out Kai...we were so thankful for this!!

The BEST job in the world!!!

From a REALLY young age I have had the dream of being a Mom.  You know, the kind of dream where all your children sit quietly and tell you what an inspiration you have been to them :) 

Although not all of my ideas of motherhood have come true, I feel so blessed to call myself these munchkins Mom.

I marvel at Kai's personality...his good sides and bad.  I watch him formulate plans to accomplish his ideas and am amazed when those plans work.  I feel proud as he prays to his Heavenly Father, and sings songs that lift our household.  I giggle as he copies our words and remind us of words we should avoid :) I just love him a lot!

Little Avery brings such a joy into our home.  Her calm demeanor and sweet spirit remind us just how lucky we are!  She patiently took on the roll as my doll and makes it look easy.  Thankfully she lets me get my sleep (although I would happily take more!).   Avery added such a feminine touch to our home, and I love it! 

Thank you Kai and Avery for making all my dreams come true!

                                         

 And how could I speak of being a Mother without mentioning the woman who made it look so easy!  I love my Mom and am so thankful for all of her love and support...SHE'S AMAZING and continues to teach me so much!!
